Jeremiah 15:19
Therefore this is what the LORD says:
"If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me;
if you utter worthy, not worthless words, you will be my spokesman.
Heavenly Father,
Trees stand tall and firm and they do not speak a word,
Yet your beauty can be seen in them and your voice can be heard.
They live harmoniously in nature fulfilling their life's task,
They do not complain or grieve and in the sun they do bask.
They are exposed to the elements and in storms are blown about,
Some will fall and some will stand firm but nature has it's own way of working it out.
The tall strong trees shelter the smaller ones standing down below,
And they protect them from the elements as they do grow.
They do not see life as unfair or be selfish about what they must do,
They just keep reaching to the sky and year after year grow closer to you.
Please teach me to be as silent as the tree and stand firm in my life,
And not speak harsh words or have a loose tongue when there is strife.
Have me always shelter the young and teach them by being a living example of your ways,
So that when the storms come they will know how to handle themselves throughout their days.
Make my words worthy, meaningful and filled with your love,
And when I do speak may they be words sent to me from you,
on the wings of a white dove.

Proverbs 16:25
There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
Heavenly Father,
We all like to believe that we are intelligent creatures and know what is best,
But when we reach a fork in the road that is when we are put to the test.
We have two choices at that stage, and it is this decision that will show,
Whether we are living by your guidance or by what we think we know.
One path will lead to you and our journey will be fulfilling and will soothe,
The other will show us our error in judgement which leads to darkness,
And how we need to seek you, repent and improve.
Going by our heads is using what we learnt, experienced and perceived,
Where as bringing you into our hearts and praying for guidance,
stops us from being deceived.
When I reach a fork in my path may I always drop to my knees,
And pray to you for guidance to walk your way,
and follow your Will, as you please.
May the forks in my path be few, and my choices always be wise,
That leads me to your heavenly doors and not to regret and my demise.
I pray I never rely on my own judgement but rather stay open and true unto you,
Where your ways are the wise ways, that guide me directly to you.
May the Commandments be my road map and the Bible and prayer be my guide,
So that I can keep moving forward in my spiritual growth, having Jesus by my side.

Hosea 14:9
Who is wise? He will realise these things.
Who is discerning? He will understand them.
The ways of the LORD are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them.
Heavenly Father,
To be wise is to have common sense and be prudent in our ways,
To be discerning is to have keen insight and be perceptive throughout our days.
Both bring about good judgement to guide us in our life,
And to be lacking in them is what gets us into all kinds of strife.
A closed mind brings nothing but what we already know,
Where as being open minded brings new insight and allows us to grow.
To be rebellious keeps us trapped in our own ways and we cannot learn,
And it is through being detached and observant that we learn to be wise and discern.
The wise and discerning understand that Jesus path leads directly to you,
And are willing to follow your ways with a loving heart
and do whatever they must do.
Please have me always be receptive and to adhere to your call,
And not get stuck in my head with a stubborn heart,
as this is when I shall stumble and fall.
I love you with all of my mind, heart and soul and it is you that I need,
I pray that I walk the righteous path where my spirit can grow and be free.

Psalm 106:13-14
But they soon forgot what he had done
and did not wait for his counsel.
In the desert they gave into their craving;
in the wasteland they put God to the test.
Heavenly Father
There are times in life that seem empty, barren & bare
& we disconnect from your love & we wonder are you really there.
Struggles abound & an end to our burdens seems fruitless & lost,
& we feel forsaken whilst living in woe when troubles we are being tossed.
Then when we have been pushed to our limits through survival mode human nature kicks in,
& this is where we are put to the test, will we live by Faith & Trust,
or revert to sin?
Our ways have never worked in the past so why would we think they would now,
& it was our ways that led us astray when we relied on ourselves & thought we knew how.
When we follow our own ways that is when we are putting you to the test,
Where as holding firm to your ways, brings salvation & we know we are blessed.
It is always darkest just before the dawn & that is when the sun breaks through,
So to our burdens in our darkest moments, through Faith & Prayer we should reach out to you.
You have never once forsaken us throughout our earthly days,
All you ask is for us to let you have control so you can work your ways.
I pray that I always surrender my Will & hold firm to my faith in you,
& trust that you are there watching over me & guiding me,
until the sun breaks through.

Isaiah 46:8-9
"Remember this, fix it in mind,
take it to heart, you rebels.
Remember the former things, those of long ago;
I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me.
Heavenly Father,
To learn your ways on a mental level brings us knowledge that we have read,
But when strife comes the knowledge will leave us as our emotions are being fed.
That is when we forget about you as no longer your Words are being heard,
And we react to our environment and our behaviour becomes quite absurd.
We rebel against your ways because suddenly we think we know best,
And through our actions and intolerance we find no peace or rest.
Taking what we learn from our mind to our hearts teaches us to understand your ways,
And through practise it becomes part of our character throughout our earthly days.
To read the Bible is one thing, but to live by it is another,
And the difference can be seen in how we treat our sisters and brothers.
When someone has taken your words to heart, in burdens peace can be found,
And heavenly solutions to our trials are always sought after and all around.
The Bibles lessons guide us as to what to do and our actions show if we have understood,
Because no matter what challenge we face, our character should be good.
I pray that whatever I learn through my mind I take to heart,
And always live by your ways and through strife we never do part.

Luke 6:45
The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart,
& the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.
For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.
Heavenly Father
The words that come from our mouths reveal the state of our heart,
But too often we speak without thinking & don't hear what we say,
until from our lips the words depart.
It is in this moment its revealed to us how we are feeling inside,
Are we coming from a loving place or the bitterness of pride.
This is when we need to be honest with ourselves & see the fault is coming from within,
As its in being honest about the state of our heart, that frees us from burden & sin.
The bitterness that rolls off the tongue shows that darkness is taking hold,
& an internal search needs to take place, to bring warmth where its cold.
I pray that in these moments my lips stay shut & I do not speak a word,
Until I have searched the recesses of my heart,
& your Word can be heard.
Never do I want my words to be harsh or to harm anyone,
& its through prayer & seeking forgiveness for my intent
that love shines through from your Holy Son.
The more that I seek out the dark places that lurk from within,
The more my heart opens up to the light your love shines without sin.
I pray that I dedicate my life to purging & cleansing the evil in my heart,
& in all your Glory I live in joy, for the freedom you impart.

"Daughter, your faith has healed you.
Go in peace and be freed from your suffering."
Heavenly Father,
I have had a bad toothache for most of today,
I didn't take medication, instead I chose to kneel and pray.
My toothache lingered and started to become much worse,
As the pain increased my focus changed and I felt it was a curse.
I sat and pondered on my thoughts to see what was going on,
And I heard in my head, "the pain is too great, this is wrong".
I started to realise that through the pain my faith started to shake,
And my mind was trying to convince me to give up for my own sake.
I knew that if I gave up now never would I believe it to be true,
That having faith in Jesus will heal me and make me anew.
I fell to my knees and cried to Jesus to please soothe my soul,
And remove the pain that is trying to deceive me and takes it's toll.
I held the Bible close to my heart and again started to pray,
Next thing I felt a blanket of love engulf me and the pain went away.
I pray that I never lose faith and always hold true to you,

Obadiah 12
You should not look down on your brother
in the day of his misfortune,
nor rejoice over the people of Judah
in the day of their destruction.
nor boast so much
in the day of their trouble.
Heavenly Father,
We are all individuals that walk and talk in different ways,
So it stands to reason that we will have conflict when dealing with each other throughout our days.
Sometimes resolutions cannot be found and friendships part,
And through hurt feelings a coldness for that person can fill our heart.
Some people delight in hearing that hardship has bound their former friend,
But that just shows the state of our heart, and vengeance for our hurt is what we intend.
It is not our place to judge others and it truly is a sin to delight in someone's pain,
Love, forgiveness and compassion for each other is all that we should sustain.
If we cannot find it within us to forgive that person and move on,
Then we are truly the one that is deeply in the wrong.
That is when you will show us the wickedness in our hearts,
And do unto us, the same that happened to them for the judgement that we did cart.
It takes two to tango and when friendships break there are always two sides,
So to hold grudges and seek vengeance shows our hearts are full of pride.
Whenever I part company from others may I always pray for their best,
For blessings, love and peace to be with them, where ever they may rest.

1 Timothy 6:6-8
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
Heavenly Father,
Society has placed great emphasis on growing and storing up our wealth,
And the stress that it causes us, infringes highly on our health.
There are the rich and the poor and the division is growing wider,
And pressure is put on us to increase in value, or be treated as an outsider.
My rich friends grow ulcers in protecting their assets and worth,
And my poor friends have nervous breakdowns just trying to survive on earth.
Families fall apart as the strain of it all takes it toll,
When parents have to work two jobs and children have to take on the parents role.
They have sleepless nights as they lay awake wondering how to make ends meet,
And they feel isolated and alone trying to deal with it all as through pressure they start to deplete.
You have truly blessed me by giving me the ability to not care one way or the other,
But it is hard to sit and watch everyone around me see it as a burden or a bother.
As long as there is food on my table and a warm bed at night,
I am living a heavenly life free from the burden and peace is in my sight.
Please bless, protect and watch over everyone and bring them peace of mind,
Until they find some equilibrium through it all, and heaven is what they find.

Psalm 38:11
My friends & companions avoid
me because of my wounds;
my neighbours stay far away
Heavenly Father
At times our lives are so self consumed we don't see beyond ourselves,
If we decided to stop & look around we would see the lost souls left on shelves.
I met a young boy today whose story broke my heart & made me cry,
He's alone & left homeless at 14 & it made my soul sigh.
He has no family & he's isolated to survive & live life on his own,
& yet he didn't complain as he faced a future uncertain and alone.
He is such a beautiful child with a big heart & humble smile,
He spoke with such kindness & he was filled with a heavenly style.
He didn't hold grudges & just seen that this is what life has dealt him,
& the more he spoke, the more I choked, seeing how society left him grim.
No one sees him or listens to a word that he has to say,
It's a poverty ridden child & they avoid him
as he begs throughout his day.
Father, on my knees, I pray with all of my mind, heart & soul,
Please save these children, bless & protect them
& never let life's hardships take their toll.

Habakkuk 2:18
"Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it?
Or an image that teaches lies?
For he who makes it trusts in his own creation;
he makes idols that cannot speak.
Heavenly Father,
Earthly idols last but a moment then they fade away,
But they cause great damage in their time when they lead the innocent astray.
They don't shed any light on life & how our character should be,
In order to bring us salvation throughout our day, to set our souls free.
All they teach is the ways of this world & what they know how to do,
But its not your ways to living a heavenly life that comes shining through.
They teach, mould & deform our character in order to please a crowd,
Then our hearts turn to stone as we seek self pleasure because we become proud.
I pray that we all wake up to ourselves & realise that you are the only one,
& Jesus is the light of this world & we should follow your Holy Son.
Never do I want to idolise something that brings happiness for a minute,
When following Jesus brings undescribed joy & through his life we live it.

Jeremiah 17:10
"I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind,
to reward a man according to his conduct,
according to what his deeds deserve."
Heavenly Father,
I have been reflecting on the Samaritan woman at the water well,
How Jesus knew everything about her, as her story he did tell.
He had never met her before but her mind and heart he read,
And to her surprise he was aware of how her life had been led.
He sees everything about us without us having to say a word,
As he knows things beyond this world, and in his voice it can be heard.
This woman could have lied to save her shame and loss of face,
But had she done so, she would not have seen the saviour's love and grace.
He spoke openly to her because she was being honest and he knew,
Therefore he gave her spiritual waters and his light came shining through.
Her life had changed at that point as she could see he was the Holy One,
And through joy and glory she spread the word of your Heavenly Son.
If we can't be open and honest to ourselves about who we are,
We are blocking and denying the saviours love and graces,
and pushing him afar.
Jesus comes to us when we speak the truth about what we've done,
And then shines his light on our world brighter than the earthly sun.
I pray that I always speak my truth about who I am and where I have been,
To lead me directly to Jesus so in my life his light, love and glory can be seen.

Jeremiah 48:10
"A curse on him who is lax on doing the LORD'S work!
A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!"
Heavenly Father,
Your works are a heavenly mission of guiding all your children back home,
No matter what community, race or nation they come from,
where ever they may be, or roam.
To do your work is to be a disciple of Jesus and teach his ways,
And to spread the words of the Bible throughout our earthly days.
We are to live as Jesus did and be an example to others in life,
To guide them, teach them, show them wrong from right,
and to keep them from strife.
At times we will be called upon to put ourselves on the line for others,
And to stand up for others rights as we are all sisters and brothers.
We are to protect the weak, feed the hungry and set the oppressed free,
And to heal the sick through prayer, and help the blind to see.
To accept the life of being a Christian is a commitment to be Christ like,
And against all odds and adversity we will endure a heavenly plight.
To turn a blind eye to anything that we see makes us an accessory to the fact,
That one of your children was crucified whilst the world turned it's back.
I pray that I never look the other way and ignore what I must do,
In order to bring all of your children home, and to guide them back to you.

Hosea 13:6
When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me.
Heavenly Father,
When our lives have fallen apart and we have nowhere else to turn we turn to you,
We fall to our knees and pray from the depths of our hearts seeking you to help us get through.
Then through your love, mercy and grace you hear our prayers and lift us up,
And pour out your living waters to restore us and fill our cup.
Once the storm has passed and peace is found within we stand back to our feet,
And we fill with relief and brush ourselves off from the near defeat.
It is strange how quickly we do forget who came and rescued us in that day,
And suddenly we know longer fall to our knees, or have a need to pray.
We revert back to our old ways that caused our chaos in the first place,
And neglect to remember to give Glory to you for your saving grace.
Then time passes quickly and we find ourselves back there again,
Where through despair and anguish we seek you to rescue us and be our friend.
It is an ongoing cycle that never seems to end, nor do we learn,
That each time it was you that carried us through when we had concern.
I pray throughout my day and night always giving Glory unto you,
And never will I forget how tragic my life truly would be,
if you weren't there with me to carry me through.

Job 22:21
"Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you."
Heavenly Father,
To submit to you and be at peace is having faith and trusting in you,
And believing in Jesus, the Commandments and the Bible,
and what they tell us to do.
It is walking with an inner knowing that your ways lead us to your throne,
And through times of strife you are there with us,
to guide us and get us back home.
It doesn't mean that we won't face adversity or feel pain along our way,
But it does mean that we will find peace in our hearts throughout each and every day.
We will see things differently as we are no longer living from our heads,
As we are walking by faith and it is our hearts that are being lead.
Sometimes the greatest miracles and blessings are found in the tough times,
But when we hold onto our ways the blessings are hard to see or find.
Letting go and submitting to you teaches us to grow the way you need us to,
And this is where spiritual prosperity is found, and it is real, and it is true.
We start to live abundantly through your ways as our perception starts to change,
And no longer the things of this world are important
as we thirst and hunger for spiritual knowledge to sustain.
I pray that I always surrender my Will and submit to you,
And live in peace walking your ways
as you guide my mind, heart and soul to make me anew.

Matthew 20:28
"Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Heavenly Father,
Jesus was the most selfless life that ever walked this earth,
He was born to die for our sins from the moment of his birth.
He knew this his whole time here and it was the cause he dedicated his life,
And he loved us all graciously and taught us to keep from sin and strife.
Never did he expect or want for anyone to treat him like a king,
He served everyone equally like he was a slave, and yet he carried no sin.
He did not put himself first even when he knew his time was done,
And that is because he was here to save us, he was the Holy One.
It is 2000 years since his Holy feet walked upon this place,
And he is the most famous and talked about person in history,
this man with the loving and gracious face.
He demonstrated how beauty is not skin deep but comes from the heart,
And through the love of God and his fellow man his mission he did not depart.
He was here to reconcile heaven and earth after the fall of Adam and Eve,
And to free us from Satan's bonds and teach us not to be deceived.
His whole life was dedicated to saving each and every one of us,
And never was it a burden to him, he did not whinge or kick up a fuss.
I pray that in my life I learn to be selfless just like your Holy Son,
And always put my brothers and sisters first, just like Jesus had done.

Heavenly Father,
Everything in life is governed and guided by laws that we must adhere to and live by,
Whether it is family, friendship, community, business, whatever it is we try.
They are laws written to make life fair and safe for all persons that live,
And whether we are to be punished or rewarded depends on what we give.
So it only seems fitting that you too would have laws to govern your Heavenly Kingdom,
And they are there to keep us true to our souls, living from our hearts,
and free from sin.
The laws of this world punish us if we stray and choose not to abide in our day,
So to this is true when we refuse your laws, and choose to live in sin and stray.
If we choose not to live by your laws we are not connected to you,
As the Commandments are written to guide us as to what we must do.
Just as we can't pick and choose which laws we like in the physical realm,
Nor can we do that in your kingdom as you are the authority at the helm.
To be a good citizen of heaven is to abide in you and what you do say,
And then you answer our prayers quickly as our connection is strong when we do pray.
I pray that I always follow the Commandments and adhere to your law,

You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
Heavenly Father,
You are the first thought that crosses my mind when I awaken each day,
And then you are the last conversation I have at night when I pray.
In between morning and night you are there with me all day long,
Everywhere I go, in everything I do, with everyone I meet,
you are my hearts love and my voices song.
Without you in my world I would be nothing but flesh and bone,
With no flame in my heart, in darkness I would roam feeling alone.
The world would be an empty place filled with discouragement and despair,
And hope for the future would be gone in the belief that no one is there to care.
Life would be colourless and bitterness within is all that would be found,
And inner thoughts of darkness would fill my head as I walk around.
You are the flame that keeps my heart alive and my soul and spirit alight,
And you bring life and love to a world that otherwise would be a battle and a fight.
You are at the centre of my mind, heart and soul so which I do thrive,
And it is through you that I see love and beauty all around, and I survive.
I pray and give praise in all of your Glory for the love and grace that you bestow upon me,
As you light up my world, lighting my way, setting my mind, heart and soul free.

Negative thoughts, feelings, attitudes and actions are what depletes our well being,
And blocks our minds, hearts and souls from you as darkness is what we are seeing.
The longer we stay in this mode the more the darkness takes it's hold,
And recovery becomes much harder as Satan starts to turn our world cold.
Our health starts to fail, our minds start to close and our hearts turn to steel,
And we loose all ability to discern wrong from right and don't know how we should feel.
This is when we start to fall asleep, isolated and trapped in the dark,
And no longer can we hear your voice and we lose our inner spark.
We need to be truthful with ourselves and admit we have fallen and are lost,
And reach out to you, calling for salvation, repenting and praying at all cost.
You are the light of the world and you fill us with warmth, love, compassion and grace,
And we should recognise when we are not connected to you when we are sitting in the dark place.
To call out to you from our hearts takes an act of faith, strength and courage,
As Satan is working his delusion and trying to keep us discouraged.
Once we take that step and realise you are the saviour of us all,
Inner warmth and love starts to fill us as we awaken and hear your call.
We start to recover and fill with your love, mercy and healing powers,
As you rain down on us from heaven, your blessings and pure cleansing showers.
I pray that when darkness takes a hold of me that quickly I awaken,
And realise that you are there with me and that I have not been forsaken.

You are the light of the world and you fill us with warmth, love, compassion and grace,
And we should recognise when we are not connected to you when we are sitting in the dark place.
To call out to you from our hearts takes an act of faith, strength and courage,
As Satan is working his delusion and trying to keep us discouraged.
Once we take that step and realise you are the saviour of us all,
Inner warmth and love starts to fill us as we awaken and hear your call.
We start to recover and fill with your love, mercy and healing powers,
As you rain down on us from heaven, your blessings and pure cleansing showers.
I pray that when darkness takes a hold of me that quickly I awaken,
And realise that you are there with me and that I have not been forsaken.

Jeremiah 31:33
"I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people."
Heavenly Father,
When we were children we went to school to learn to read and write,
And it took lots of persistence, practise and testing till we got it right.
At first it took great effort and repetitiveness to store it into our minds,
But once it was learnt it became a natural part of us all in good time.
We could then pick up books and easily read and understand,
And we could put pen to paper to write without thinking from our tiny hand.
The knowledge stayed firm in our brain and then became part of our being,
And what we had learnt through the experience could easily be seen.
When we were students we needed a teacher to guide us along the way,
So that we could improve our understanding and skills, each and every day.
So to it is the same being a student of your kingdom daily in our life,
Where you are the principle of all and watch over us to keep us from strife.
The Commandments are the lesson and the Bible is our text book,
And Jesus is our teacher and mentor and for guidance to him we do pray and look.
The more we study, practise and learn we start to grasp the lesson and to our heart it does go,
And we can only move forward once we conquer the lesson that we need to know.
I pray that I read the Bible daily and put into practise what I have learnt,
And the teachings become a part of my life and your love living in my heart is what I have earned.

Psalm 119:15-16
I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
Heavenly Father,
To meditate is to take your word from the mind and reflect it upon the heart,
Where your voice can be heard to bring new light, as the mind and heart are two worlds apart.
Your laws can be understood on a mental level when read from the head,
But when they are meditated upon the depths of understanding becomes spirit fed.
If your laws were easily understood in the physical realm we wouldn't dis-obey,
But our minds misinterpret and manipulate them and therefore we miss what you say.
Your laws are not designed to hurt us in any shape or form along our way,
They are there to lead us to our heart, to live without sin and not to stray.
What punishment you bring about for my offenders you also apply to me should I offend,
and being true to you keeps us within the law and it is not something that we can pretend.
If we live by your laws from our interpretation and from our head,
punishment it will bring,
Where as meditating on your word from the heart brings joy and your Glory we do sing.
I am not always correct in my thinking and don't always get the lesson the first time around,
But when I stop thinking so much and just meditate on your word, solutions can be found.
I pray that I always listen and meditate on what it is that I have heard,
To ensure that I am always guided in the right direction by your Holy word.

John 7:24
Stop judging by mere appearances,
and make a right judgement.
Heavenly Father,
At times we make up our minds about what a person has done based on what we heard or saw,
But not always are things as they seem and our eyes can be deceived if the facts we do not explore.
Too often we are quick to judge a person from a closed mind and limited view,
Leaving no room to shed some light and bring insight that is new.
Jesus was judged for healing on the Sabbath and it was because the law was misunderstood,
And had everyone known the truth about the law, they would have seen that the deed was good.
Others judged that he was demon possessed because they couldn't explain his ways,
And it was their lack of knowledge, insight and prejudices that kept them blinded throughout their days.
We have come 2000 years into the future and not much has changed,
We still judge each other based on our limited minds and how our thoughts are arranged.
It goes to show that never should we decide anything until the whole story is told,
And that is through remaining detached and waiting to see the bigger picture once it unfolds.
The fool rushes in and decides from a limited view what has happened without a clue,
Which leaves them having to repent in the future, for their error, and seek forgiveness from you.
There is always more than one perspective and the wise man searches it out,
To ensure that once he concludes the matter he can do so honestly and without doubt.
I pray that I always stand back and seek to observe and gather all the facts,
And have you bring me new insight so that I may deal with others with Godly tact.

Hosea 13:5
"I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat"
Heavenly Father,
I have always seen myself as patient and laid back, so I thought,
Until you decided to show me otherwise, a lesson I was to be taught.
A simple task has become a major ordeal and really put me to the test,
And through the lesson I can easily see how you surely do know best.
I was fooling myself to believe that patience wasn't a problem for me,
You have shown me how it could be shaken when my endurance was worn down and did flee.
Frustration overcame me as I watched my thoughts start to change,
And feelings of giving up started to enter and I was becoming quite deranged.
I noticed at this point that you had just shown me what I need to overcome,
And that is not to allow myself to listen to my frustration or to succumb.
I realised I needed to get out of my head and I turned to the Bible to escape deplete,
And it fell open to Hosea 13:5, that said "I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat".
I realised that through my lack of patience my faith was diminished and shaken,
And that I hadn't turned to you for guidance and was feeling forsaken.
I thank you with all of my mind, heart and soul for showing me my shortfalls,
And for sending me a message through the Bible when I couldn't hear your calls.
Please forgive me for losing faith and allowing myself to be deceived,
And I am counting my Blessings for the lesson and message that I received.
I love you with my entire being and you really are Glorious in all your ways,
And I live in awe with the lessons you lovingly show me throughout my earthly days.

2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be yours in abundance
through the knowledge of
God and Jesus our Lord.
Heavenly Father,
The more we study & learn the Bible & in prayer take it to heart,
The closer we are to you as life becomes an amazing work of art.
We start to see things differently almost as if through a new set of eyes,
& each day is a fresh canvas that we paint,
filled with inspiration from the Heavenly skies.
Worldly things of yesterday that we strived for, suddenly we don't care for anymore,
As we feed our soul from the new life you gave us, & we begin to explore.
It's almost like being a child again & truly seeing everything for the first time,
& we are spirited with innocence & wonder to Heavens rhythm & rhyme.
As our knowledge grows & our mind, heart & soul matures in our walk,
We begin to shape a new character & Jesus can be heard in our voice when we talk.
Love, Grace & Peace comes upon us as we no longer feel the way we did in the past,
& we accept everything as a new lesson & experience,
whilst in your Glory we do bask.
Life becomes abundant through your world which is beyond the physical realm,
Because of the insight that is learnt letting you take control & putting Jesus at the helm.
I pray that my knowledge constantly grows and new insight fills my days,

Psalms 1:2
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
Heavenly Father,
The wicked, sinners and mockers spend their time focused on evil deeds,
Their minds and hearts are darkened letting in no light for their souls to be freed.
Their bitterness, resentments and hatreds lead them throughout their day,
And they are bound to their own demise as further into darkness they do stray.
Repenting and forgiveness frees us from bondage, evil and its snares,
Where our minds and hearts can be opened and are souls freed from despair.
What we choose to focus on is where our paths will be led,
And it is an individual choice,
Are we following Jesus into the light, or down to pits of darkness and dread.
The wicked cannot see your truths or your ways as it is hidden from their sight,
Because your ways aren't seen from human eyes, it is through the heart living a Godly plight.
Therefore it is important to protect our minds and hearts as to what we perceive,
Because the reward will be determined by our own actions as to what we should receive.
Your laws are written to keep us protected under your loving care and domain,
And to live by them frees our mind, heart and soul so that our spirit can sustain.
I pray that I always focus on you and the loving goodness you put in my heart,
And how your laws protect me as I walk my path and from you I shall never part.

Ecclesiastes 5:2
Do not be quick with your mouth,
do not be hasty in your heart
to utter anything before God.
Heavenly Father,
When we speak without thinking foolishness flows through our words,
And when we act without coming from the heart our behaviour can be absurd.
Human nature is fallible and left to its own devices can get us into strife,
Where as a Godly approach is wisdom and brings a humble heart to our life.
A hot headed person says things in the passion of the moment without thinking,
And it leads them into dangerous waters where there soul is left sinking.
Wise men don't speak just to hear the sound of their own voice,
They select their words carefully and leave no room for error, or remorse.
Not only do you listen to us when we kneel to pray,
You listen to each and every word that we think or have to say.
You are the creator of all life and see every thought, word, action and deed,
And you know ahead of time will we choose foolishness or wisdom that sets our soul free.
When we come to you to seek salvation and guidance we should be thoughtful in what we ask,
And be wise in what we say and in all your Glory we should bask.
I pray that I guard my thoughts and heart and cleanse them each and everyday,
And be wise and humble when I come to you and listen to what you say.

2 Corinthians 1:9
Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death.
But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God,
who raises the dead.
Heavenly Father,
To feel dead at heart is to be missing the love and life of you from within,
At times it is there for us to strengthen our character and other times from being reckless through sin.
These are the dark moments in our lives where our connection with you is gone,
And we feel lost and alone, left wondering what happened, where did we go wrong.
Self examination takes place as we look within to see where we need to purge,
And we seek your guidance and direction as our soul calls out with an urge.
When we are independent from you our behaviour leads us to fall,
And with cries of anguish we are reminded of our dependence on you and your call.
It demonstrates to us how as humans our actions leave us lost in the dark,
And Jesus is our salvation and it is him we need to learn from and to hark.
As humans we are imperfect and are learning to sustain the character of Jesus within,
And through your love, grace and mercy, you are compassionate and forgive us with a Heavenly grin.
I sing and dance in all of your Glory in these times as you show me where I need to learn and grow,
And how without you I am nothing and you teach me what I need to know.
I pray that I never loose sight that you sustain my life in all ways as I live,
And if I should feel darkness that I always seek your love and ask you to forgive.

But faith guides our hearts as we know we are being led by your Heavenly hand.
It brings about a sense of balance between the good and the bad,
And through discernment we can find peace weighing up where we stand.
Having trust and faith in you through all situations puts our souls at ease,
And shows us new insight into our lives and sustains us until the turbulence cease.
It allows us to be able to cope no matter what situation we find ourselves in,
And even helps us to see clearly where we need to repent and seek forgiveness should we sin.
We can travel peacefully along our path as we don't get stuck in our ways,
And we can hear your voice guiding us when we seek answers when things seem gloomy and grey.
We don't live in fear as we consciously are aware that this too shall pass,

Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another;
be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate & humble.
Heavenly Father,
It is impossible to say that you are in our mind, heart & soul & hold a grudge against our brothers,
As when we are filled with your love & spirit there is no room for resentment or hatred of others.
We are so engulfed by your existence it naturally flows from within,
Therefore if there is dis-harmony amongst us, it is our hearts we need to search for darkness & sin.
Once we have felt your love & got to know you, we realise nothing else can compare,
& it becomes natural to treat everyone around us with a Heavenly flair.
Each & every person is unique & was formed by your Heavenly hand,
& we all have our own destiny & purpose as to why we came to this land.
When we open our mind & hearts to accept each person with love & respect,
We learn so much more about life by seeing how others live & we don't search for defect.
You tell us to do unto others as we would have done to ourselves as a rule,
& that is so we will stop & think before we act, are we being selfish or using our God-given tools.
I pray that I always check my heart before I deal with my fellow sisters & brothers,
& always follow Jesus example of living by the spirit & how to treat others.

Mark 12:10
"The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone;
the Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes."
Heavenly Father,
We can be quick to reject things that our limited views cannot perceive,
And therefore we miss seeing the blessings of which we do receive.
You work beyond our limitations and we don't always understand your ways,
Until the bigger picture has formed and we witness how your hand was at work throughout our days.
The capstone that the builders rejected they all said was wrong and a waste of time,
Where as you knew all along it was the perfect piece as your ways are sublime.
We only see where we are at, up to the moment that we are in,
Where as you know all things and what our future brings, as you have seen.
Through our closed minds we torment ourselves judging what we think is best,
And waste time searching for answers in all the wrong places on our quest.
After an endless search for the perfect stone the builders realised it was under their nose all along,
and yet they had been judging it and not seeing it's value and they were wrong.
Jesus is that capstone for the salvation of the human race,
And we are the builders that can't see the bigger picture and seek answers from every other place.
I pray that this world stops judging Jesus and starts to accept and see why he came,
So that the human race can be reconciled with you, through his Holy name.

Heavenly Father,
Our human eyes and ears connect to our mind and determine how we react,
Based on what we think we saw or heard and then we judge it to be a fact.
Not always do we see things clearly or hear what was actually said,
And through our reactions we can harm others and ourselves,
and end up feeling dread.
Our spiritual eyes and ears are different as they are connected to our heart,
And deeper levels of understanding can be had as your wisdom you impart.
The foolish always rush in and feed from the mind and emotions by which they are fed,
Where as the wise always seek further understanding and are heart and spirit led.
One way leads to error and sin where forgiveness and repentance needs to be sort,

Jonah 2:10
When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways,
he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened.
Heavenly Father,
Jonah heard your instruction clearly and ran the other way,
He didn’t want to adhere to you or listen to what you had to say.
Destruction came upon him as he avoided what he must do,
And that was to warn a city to stop their evil ways and turn back to you.
Because of his dis-obedience he was thrown into the sea,
To save his fellow shipmates from harm so that you would leave them be.
In the mouth of a fish he cried out to you in prayer seeking salvation,
As he knew what he had done by running the other way through degradation.
Through his repentance you had compassion and spat him onto the land,
And saved him from the grave, by your loving and gracious hand.
He proceeded to his destiny and warned the city of the tragedy to come,
If the people did not cease in their ways destruction would succumb.
The people repented and fasting was carried out to correct their ways,
And the city was saved from devastation as they looked to you and prayed.
Jonah still wasn’t happy and obviously had more lessons to learn,
But the city was saved from it’s own destruction as they look to you and did yearn.
You were harsher on Jonah because he knew clearly what was wrong and what was right,
Where as the city was blinded to what they had done,
and that is why you sent Jonah on a Heavenly plight.
Jonah continued to give you attitude not fully surrendering to your Will,
And you continued to show him his errors, as with his Pride he did fill.
I pray that I always listen to you and surrender my Will to your ways,
And abide and adhere to your Words throughout my earthly days.

For God will bring every deed into judgement,
including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.
Heavenly Father,
The heavens and the earth are aeons old and yet we live on earth for a very short time,
And at the end of the day all that counts is, did we live a pure life or a life of crime?
You are the creator of everything that exists and know everything that goes on,
And there is nothing that can be hid from you whether right or wrong.
You know of every thought, word, action or deed and the motive behind them all,
Whether we came from a loving heart, or a hidden agenda that would lead us to fall?
At the end of the day when I have taken my last breath, to you I must answer to,
And based on my life, will I stand before you smiling, or hang my head in shame for what I did or didn’t do?
Your laws are simple, not that hard to live by and that is all you do ask,
And through reflection I need to ask myself did I live up to the task?
It is never too late to start living life the way that it should be,
And that is living within your laws and following Jesus to set my mind, heart and soul free.
I am far from perfect and am the first to admit that throughout my day,
And I constantly fall to my knees for repentance and forgiveness when I do stray.
I pray that I always live by your laws and cleanse my mind and heart from sin,
And constantly work at purifying my soul by being honest with myself and looking within.

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
Heavenly Father,
You have been my constant companion in life and the only stability that I could rely on,
You never change or turn me away and graciously fill me with your love when each day is done.
You have been with me through the joyous times and the tragically bad,
And filled me with your holy presence in the pits of sorrow, when I was feeling sad.
You have cured me from cancer and through your grace saved me from near death,
And renewed my mind, body and spirit with your healing through your holy breathe.
You were the only one with me when at times I had to travel on alone,
And you touched my heart every time to let me know you were there when I did moan.
I have felt your presence with me whenever I would look to you and sing and dance,
And you have guided me through all trials and tribulations and I could see your hand at work at a glance.
You have taught me about life and what it means to be loved by you,
And no matter what experiences I face you guide me and tell me how to get through.
You forgive me for all of my shortfalls and foolishness along my way,
And you always listen to me when I call, when I fall to my knees and I do pray.

Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
Heavenly Father,
You have been my constant companion in life and the only stability that I could rely on,
You never change or turn me away and graciously fill me with your love when each day is done.
You have been with me through the joyous times and the tragically bad,
And filled me with your holy presence in the pits of sorrow, when I was feeling sad.
You have cured me from cancer and through your grace saved me from near death,
And renewed my mind, body and spirit with your healing through your holy breathe.
You were the only one with me when at times I had to travel on alone,
And you touched my heart every time to let me know you were there when I did moan.
I have felt your presence with me whenever I would look to you and sing and dance,
And you have guided me through all trials and tribulations and I could see your hand at work at a glance.
You have taught me about life and what it means to be loved by you,
And no matter what experiences I face you guide me and tell me how to get through.
You forgive me for all of my shortfalls and foolishness along my way,
And you always listen to me when I call, when I fall to my knees and I do pray.

Prayer for Texas
Heavenly Father,
Everyday we come to you in prayer for help, but today it is needed most,
As Hurricane Ike threatens the state of Texas, and the Gulf Coast.
Throughout history miracles are recorded where your divine intervention came through,
When Christians fell to their knees and in fervent prayer came pleading to you.
All you ask is for us to have faith and trust and to leave it in your hands,
And through your love, compassion, grace and mercy you save our earthly lands.
Many lives are under threat today as nature's wrath has waged a war,
And we pray for you to protect them from harms way by opening heavens door.
Please send your heavenly forces to watch over, protect and free everyone from harm,
As the state is in the midst of a devastating crisis and the government has sounded the alarm.
Without you nothing is possible, but with you miracles can be achieved,
And Christians hold strong in faith, that with your blessings a miracle will be received.
I pray for the winds to cease and the sun to coming shining through,

Prayer for New Orleans
Heavenly Father,
There are times when this world needs to put its differences aside and come together in prayer,
For the good of mankind and to protect us from the destruction that evil does bare.
Mankind has started a technological nightmare and evolution is taking its toll,
Where the planet is becoming unstable and the weather is playing a fatal role.
We are using up the worlds resources and global warming is starting to show,
That we are going to reap our rewards for what we have done, as through ignorance we did not know.
There are many people in harms way tonight as a hurricane threatens their lives,
And it is a fight with nature on earth, and your intervention is needed to save them from strife.
I call upon you and all of your heavenly forces to protect the innocent from the destruction to come,
And pray that the hurricane dissipates and to your Will it shall succumb.
You are the almighty creator over the universe and all life that exists,
And at your Will you can stop this and I pray for the hurricane not to persist.
We have wronged you with the way that we live and abused your very land,
And now we pray on our knees for you to have mercy and save us with your heavenly hand.
All over the world tonight Christians are on their knees in intercessory prayer,
To save New Orleans from destruction, to be protected under your wing and in your loving care.

Great are the works of the LORD;
they are pondered by all that delight in them.
Heavenly Father,
It's funny how fickle the human race can be when events turn around,
A perfect example of this is Hurricane Gustav when it was inward bound.
It was predicted to be the worst hurricane this century has ever seen,
& the government was on red alert & New Orleans was sent fleeing.
Everyone was praying to you to save the country from bitter destruction,
& you answered all prayers by protecting them from nature's confrontation.
By the time the hurricane hit New Orleans it's devastation did not takes its toll,
As you protected everyone from harms way as you intervened & took on a merciful role.
The impact was minor & damages were minimal to say the least,
As you calmed the storms & protected the township from nature's beast.
Now the storm is passing & I listen to what the world has to say,
& there is no recognition of your hand at work & how you saved the day.
Suddenly everyone blames the government for over reacting in the first place,
& how next time they won't listen to the warnings that the government puts in place.
This world looks to you for miracles & has lost faith because they cannot see,
Yet that was the most amazing & awe inspiring experience to witness,
as from destruction you set them free.
I pray for this world to start to awaken & see the Glorious wonder of you,
& how you are our protector & saviour, & you watch over us from your heavenly view.

FORGIVENESS
Dictionary:
The act of excusing a mistake or offense;
a pardon by treating the offender as if the offense had not occurred;
the act of freeing from guilt or blame.
Biblical:
Ephesians 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Acts 13:38-39
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Two Sides:
One side is seeking forgiveness for an offense and the other side is forgiving the offender.
Seeking Forgiveness:
Forgiveness seems to be one of those things that is hard to perceive, as it is not as straight forward as saying "I am sorry" and then thinking life is rosy and all is back to normal.
It goes much deeper than that, and it involves not just the mental thought of saying "sorry" but also the contrite heart in accepting and acknowledging that a wrong has occurred, and with a willing spirit to repent for the actions that were performed.
It is learning from the error of our ways and changing how we should conduct our behaviour in the future and not keep repeating the same mistake over and over again, as that is when the person doing the forgiving can find it hard to do so after awhile, and sometimes the end result can be broken friendships and lost loved ones.
It is going within and taking an open minded and honest look at ourselves, our behaviour, our actions, our words, our deeds and our foolishness, and seeing it in God's light and in all it's truths, with no excuses, no blame and no mud slinging, just pure acceptance, that this is our error and we are responsible for our own actions.
No one can make us say or do anything against our Will, so therefore it was our responsibility to act in a rational and acceptable way in the first place, so it is being completely honest with ourselves, to ourselves, in the eyes of God.
Then, once you reach this point, you accept that you may receive forgiveness or you may not from the person that you offended and that is out of your control and your hands, but it is the end result of your own actions.
It definitely does hurt when we are not forgiven or given another chance, but at the end of the day, we have accepted our part in how the whole situation transpired in the first place.
There are times when people don't forgive straight up, but that can also depend on how badly we behaved, and maybe they need to be shown respect and patience by giving them space to calm down and get over the interaction, as don't forget, as much as we hurt ourselves with our own actions, imagine the hurt that we inflicted on them, and as much as we need to heal, so do they.
Then after awhile, you never know, they could all of a sudden out of the blue forgive and everything is loving and friendly again, but at the end of the day, it is up to them how they react, we have no say or control, as if we didn't create the chaos in the first place, we wouldn't have to be facing the fact that we may have reaped what we sowed.
The worst thing that we can do is feel hurt that they won't forgive, which is due to our own foolishness in the first place, and then start the mud slinging, the blame, etc. and retaliate because our feelings are hurt that they won't forgive, which is not going to resolve anything but put an end to any possibility of reconciliation in the future.
So whether someone forgives us or not, we should always send them love and blessings and pray for them on their journey, as it was our actions that caused the unresolved issues, and that we should never forget or seek any payback, as we got paid for our actions, and acceptance is part of the repentance.
This is where we need to accept the outcome, good or bad, forgive ourselves and give ourselves time to heal and move on, and do not offend that way again in the future, as we should have learnt our lesson.
Forgiving Others:
We all know how hard it is from a humble heart to reach out to someone and seek forgiveness, it is a hard thing to do and takes a mighty soul to do that, and I am not talking about saying "sorry" but truly seeking forgiveness, so we all know how it hurts for someone not to accept that.
Because of a foolish mistake you weren't seen as worthy of giving another chance which can leave us feeling condemned, unworthy, sinful and broken, and we have all faced that at one time or another in our lives.
So when someone is seeking forgiveness, we should "do unto others as we would have done to ourselves".
We all want to be forgiven for being human and making mistakes, so we should learn to forgive.
Forgiving someone doesn't come from the head where we may or may not forgive or judge if that person is worth our forgiveness and deciding their fate, it is having a loving and compassionate heart and accepting that we are all human, and we all deserve second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. etc. chances, so if we can't forgive someone, then we really need to do some inner searching.
We need to go within and look for what attitude is it that we are holding onto that stops us from going to our heart and finding love and compassion?
We need to ask are we pure and blameless in our own lives that we can judge others to be better or worse?
We need to search is there some kind of past influence keeping us from forgiving, is our own behaviour completely blameless in the whole situation?
We need to wake up and see that as long as we hold onto our self-righteousness we are showing how ungodly we truly are, and how much more we need to learn on our path.
What reward is it that we are getting by not forgiving, do we feel holy and highly that we have the power to condemn someone?
Do we feel good watching someone suffer and feel hurt and broken that we don't forgive them, because seriously if this is the case, we really need to seek forgiveness and repent ourselves?
Then the next time that someone decides not to forgive us we will feel hurt and broken, we need to look back in our own life, and look at all the people that we did that very same thing to, because right at that point, we are seeing what we have done to others.
If you are finding it hard to forgive, be honest and open and say to that person "I need time and space to sort through a few issues that I am having, and time to calm down."
But don't condemn or crucify them, just explain how you feel by the situation and if they can't understand that, and start mud slinging, blaming, behaving badly again, etc. then maybe their seeking forgiveness wasn't genuine, but if they are honestly seeking forgiveness they will understand you need time to heal and recover.
There are always two sides to everything, and we need to look at both sides and be open, honest and loving towards each other.
Now, on top of this, the worst thing that you can do, is start involving people around you, they will give their opinions and tell you what to do based on their outlook on life, but maybe they don't have the full story, maybe they aren't coming from a Godly place, maybe they have hidden agenda's in advising you that way, then the Gossip starts, the condemnation grows and tiny wars start.
The only people that know the full truth is the two people that were involved, and not always what actually happened is conveyed to others in the light of truth, maybe by mistake, misunderstanding, hurt, lieing, whatever reason, not always is the truth told in the light of God, and this is when things get out of control and Good people get hurt for No Good reason and what started as a tiny matter has now become a major problem.
Reflection, prayer and seeking God and Jesus is always the wisest path, as it is through this that we can see the light and not dwell and get stuck in the dark.
But if you do need to seek guidance and counselling, go to someone who is experienced in these matters, a Priest, a Minister, a Counsellor that has credibility in resolving these kinds of issues, and someone that does not have any attachment to the outcome so therefore can advise from an outsider's point of view.
To be forgiven brings about a renewal of mind, heart and soul and a new lease of life, and to forgive brings about the same result.
We are not responsible for other people's behaviour but we are responsible for our own.
If someone doesn't want to forgive, that is not your responsibility but how you conduct yourself is.
Imagine what state this world would truly be in if Jesus didn't forgive us for what we did, he carried the burden on the cross for this sinful world, and yet still loves us, what better example of pure love can there be.
When do we start to carry our own burdens and take up our cross?
