Isaiah 12:4

"Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.”


Heavenly Father,

I have only just started to read the Bible and you have proven to me that it is the Holy book,
As when I look back on my life I can see the lessons it teaches in a glance and a look.

Many people dispute the Bible but if they stopped and tested it at it’s Word,
They would truly see the hidden treasures within it and how your voice can be heard.

It is easy to sit back, to judge and mock what is not known from the heart and soul,
But in doing that darkness engulfs us and mocking takes it toll.

I had never been interested before now in reading it because of the negativity behind it all,
As fanatical Christians preach the Gospel and bash me with it, and then I watch them fall.

True disciples of Jesus are an amazing race placed upon this earth by you,
As they live by the Word, understand it’s meaning, and know what you are guiding them to do.

A disciple of Jesus doesn’t just speak Words and expect everyone just to hear,
They live by what you say, put it into practise and to your guidance they do adhere.

The most amazing and inspirational disciples are the ones that speak of your works manifested in their life,
And how they witnessed that you kept them from straying too far and from strife.

I pray that I always live by following Jesus, the Bible and come to you in prayer,
And give witness to the effects of you in my life, through your gracious love and care.
